Carbonara

Did this for lunch, xia wanted to learn, so heres a very lousy recipe and very noobish instruction for you girl.

1. Prepare your ingredient


  • chop or use scissors(for noobs) cut ur 1.5 x steaky becon into pieces, try not to cut too small or else when you mix into your pasta, all your bacon will be at the bottom.
  • soak your mushroom in water to rehydrate it for 10 mins

2. Cook your pasta


  • boil some water and add 1 tsp of salt
  • add your pasta and follow instruction at the back of the pasta packaging (11 mins)
  • Taste a bit to confirm its cook and not too hard or soft

3. Whisk Yolk + Cheese



  • while cooking the pasta (11 min) get a yolk and whisk it
  • while whisking, add 1 tbsp parmesan cheese

4. Mix Yolk-Cheese mixture into pasta




  • when pasta is cook, throw the water away and drain it, use the chopstick to stop the noodles from falling out, if theres some water left in the pan, its alright, what i did was to just keep stiring it and the rest of the water will just vaporise into steam
  • Add some olive oil, mix well to coat the noodles *
  • Off the fire and slowly pour in the Yolk-Cheese mixture
  • **keep stiring and mixing the noodles as ou add the mixture, the heat from the noodles should cook the noodles slightly and coat it and not form pieces of egg on the noodle
  • if you find the mixture abit slimely and er xin. turn on very small fire n keep stiring the noodles

5. Cook the ingredients

  • wash the pan and heat some olive oil
  • fry bacon till crisp
  • add mushroom and fry (3 mins?)


6. Add the sauce
  • add in 1/4 can of the pasta sauce and let is shimmer abit
  • this is just to heat the sauce n mix it with the other ingredient dun really have to cook it so use super low fire to avoid over cooking
  • add the sauce over your pasta n mix
  • add in chopped parsley and smile :D

7. FINISH

there you go babe, your fav carbonara :)
